Group therapy

Areas of Focus

I have experience leading groups of many types. If the idea of group therapy sounds scary for you, talk to me about it; I can walk you through the process. Likely, group would be perfect for you.

 

I focus primarily on interpersonal process groups, which can help address many concerns, including but not limited to:

  • communication issues

  • need for deeper connection

  • self-esteem concerns

  • anxiety, including social anxiety

  • relationship concerns

  • family-of-origin issues

  • desire for personal growth and increased self- and other-awareness

  • desire to express emotions differently

Approach

I engage in experiential, present-centered processes during group. This means that we will learn how to engage more with ourselves and others through developing in-the-moment emotional, physical, and cognitive awareness.

I pull predominantly from Irvin Yalom's work in groups as well as Gestalt and Psychodrama approaches. 

Fees and Session Length

All groups, unless otherwise specified, run for 90 minutes. It is expected that you are able to attend all sessions during a given time, but exceptions are understandable and can be explored.

The cost of group ranges from approximately $20 to $60, dependent upon the group. We can determine an appropriate rate for you if needed.

an interpersonal process group that allows you to explore how you interact with and connect with others, in a non-cishet dominated space

anyone in the queer/LGBQ+ and trans community who is interested in exploring their relational environment and trying out new ways of being with themselves and others. must be 18 years or older.

bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 5 - 6:30 p.m.,  4 session commitment required.
